I liked the old web page..I am having problems finding things on the new page.1 voteplanned · AdminMichael Humphries (Web Development Team Lead, Western New Mexico University) responded
I’m sorry you have having trouble getting adjusted to the new design. The search is still using the old version of the site. Thus, it is not in its final form. I have not had a chance to work on the new search functionality. Rest assured it will be awesome! Sadly, I am the only developer so things run slower than they should. :(
Let me know if you need any help or have any other comments,
The residence life tab should be under current students along with current students. Overall the tabs are very confusing to find what you need. Still I like our new website so much more then the old one!!!1 voteunder review · AdminMichael Humphries (Web Development Team Lead, Western New Mexico University) responded
Thanks for the feedback! I agree. I will review with the team and find the best place for it. FYI, it looks like you are using a old version of Internet Explorer, you may want to update it for the best viewing of many modern websites.
Although the link is at a good spot on the page, the text needs to be displayed with higher contrasting colors to make it easier to find.1 voteplanned · AdminMichael Humphries (Web Development Team Lead, Western New Mexico University) responded
Ignore the last comment, submitted to the wrong place. Yes, the issue is that I have to use identity standard colors. So the alternative is dark purple.
I’ll play around with it again.
Thanks for the comment.
We are interested in being easily accessible on the new website. This is just a reminder about the placement of our programs in both "About Western" and "Current Students" . We feel that we can be a serious selling point for a certain population of students with young children. The website looks so much better and I look forward to working with you.1 vote
1.retain the A-Z listing (albeit updated regularly!) -- it doesn't have to be on the main page, but please include it on the search page
2. recommend adding "Library" to the links under the Faculty/Staff tab2 votesstarted · AdminMichael Humphries (Web Development Team Lead, Western New Mexico University) responded
The library link was added to About WNMU and Faculty/Staff dropdown.
I am going to be implementing a new search page coming soon. I hope to have an autocomplete type A-Z index. If not, then I will include the link search result page.
Thanks for the feedback!
